Green hypocrisy

The green movement can't decide if they want deserts or wind power. Someone needs to tell them that choices have costs and that they do not live in the Garden of Eden.

John Fund in the Wall Street Journal says placing wind power in the Mohave Desert is being stopped by environmentalists who are afraid of hurting the desert turtle.

There are "130 pending applications for solar power projects on federal land administered by the Bureau of Land Management . . . environmentalists are blocking such plants by demanding time-consuming environmental-impact studies. . . applications are still being clogged up in a bureaucratic pipeline and no new permits have been issued to date."

  1. This is preposterous! They want us all to go Green, and then when efforts are made for alternative energy sources they back up and try to halt the progress. They need to pick one and get over it;

    In the words of the Govenator "If we cannot put solar power plants in the Mojave desert, I don't know where the hell we can put it,"

  2. Environmentalists dont want us putting oil rigs in the ocean for fear of killing baby seals. Some poeple can't even develope parts of our their private property because some type of exotic slug that lives there. Now we cant even put solar power generators in the middle of the Mojave desert for fear of harming the habitat of some insignificant turtle that lives there! Completetly ridiculous.
